A Guide to Sutton #22 - Random Events at McCall's Bar

The following post may contain spoilers for certain story elements of Stuck in Sutton.

As of v0.9c, there are 4 random events that can occur at McCall's Bar. Note that this guide doesn't cover bar shifts.

Hook Ups

So long you're alone at the hotel and have at least 40 Beauty, you can either be approached by someone when entering the bar or whilst hanging out at the bar. If you don't reject them, you'll go to the bar where your prospective partner will offer you a drink of your choosing. You can attempt to get more free drinks, but every time you do increases the chance of being rejected.

If you are interested, you can take them back to your hotel room and have sex. This will reduce stress but otherwise serves no purpose.

Fight

A barfight can break out. You can choose to ignore it, which is the safest option. If you choose to intervene, the following can happen:

You break up the fight. which will reduce your Stress by 5 and net you a free drink. This will be patched in v0.10 to reduce Stress by 10 to 12 (13 to 15 with "Cat Palm Tattoo") and Notoriety by 5 to 10, in addition to the free drink.

The fight ends before you can break it up, which will reduce your Stress by 7 to 10 (10-15 with Cat Palm Tattoo) and Notoriety by 5 to 10.

You suffer a bloody nose which will reduce your Beauty by 5, increase Stress by 15-25 (8-20 with the 'Cat Palm' Tattoo), and reduce Notoriety by 5. Spilled Drink

Someone might spill their drink on, reducing your beauty by 5 and increasing Stress by 10 (5-7 if you have the 'Cat Palm' tattoo). You can choose to swear at this man to reduce Stress by 5 at the cost of gaining 3 Notoriety.

Bikers

Sometimes bikers will show up at the bar. If you approach them, one of three things can happen:

They tell you to leave, which has no negative effect.

They ask if you want to play pool. Doing so will cost you 1 Energy. If you play, you'll have a 50/50 chance to win or lose. On a win, you'll lose 75 Stress, be given $20, and increase your Notoriety by 5 to 10 (2 to 5 with the "Thug Life" tattoo). If you lose the game, you'll only reduce your Stress by 25 and increase your Notoriety by 5 to 10 (2 to 5 with the "Thug Life" tattoo)

They ask if you want to buy some weed. The bikers will sell one joint for $15 to $25. With the typical price being $20, you might be able to save some money for your next high. You will however gain 4 to 20 Notoriety (0 to 16 with the 'Thug Life' tattoo).
