Devlog #34 - Relationship Advice


As stated in the previous Devlog, I wanted to add a section to the game that would help point players in the right direction when it comes to relationships. I realize some things aren't 100% obvious and at this stage of development, it's a bit tricky to change things up. 

The new 'relationships' section in the menu will give clues on what to do next. Be aware this won't be a full-blown guide like my 'A Guide to Sutton' series. It's simply meant to clear up any confusion around character interactions.

The process of doing this is a bit arduous, as I have to comb through the game with each character and their branching paths. On the plus side, it has allowed me to splat some minor bugs and correct some spelling issues. I'm hoping to have this mechanic finished by the end of this week. 

I'm still undecided if this will be its own patch or if it'll be a part of v0.9. There's only one bug that I've found that I'd consider major. That bug being the date at the bar with Dan at the End of Day 2. This bug can be minimized by deciding to sleep with him after a successful date. If I do release it as its own patch, you'll probably see it next week rather than a new dev log. Whatever the case, I'm afraid I'll have to leave you Stuck in Sutton.
