Devlog #7: May I Give You a Status Update?

May is upon us! That means that I have missed my initial goal of releasing v0.3 by the end of April. As I've explained in my previous Devlog, this is due to there being a lot more work to do with End of Day content.

Just for perspective, this is End of Day 1 (including an additional scene with the vibrator):

And this is End of Day 2:

I honestly don't have much else to say. I don't want to give away much about the random events I have planned, as that wouldn't make them very random. I'm done with about 95% of the 1st draft and have done some testing. I still have a lot of editing testing to go, but I am hoping to make good progress. So far I haven't had any major issues with testing so things are going smoothly in that department. Not sure that I'll be done before the end of this week, but if all goes to plan, I ought to be getting close.

Until then, I'll have to leave you stuck in Sutton.

Hi,

I appreciate the update. I'd just like to ask how serious you are about the development of this game? I see where you said this was more of a hobby, but as someone willing to support the games.developement (which would over time add up to be a pretty penny), I don't want to be spending hundreds of dollars on a game that has no intentions of either being completed or going somewhere. I've done so many times before just to be bitterly disappointed in the developer for not keeping promises. With that said, I'd like to understand where your headspace is at in this one? Will it be finished at some point? If yes, what do you estimate in time/dates, will be your development pathway? If no, how far do you intend to take this project? I'm willing to put my name and reputation behind a game with some serious content creation (even if it's not completed), just as long as it's a decent amount of content (something longer then a few hours/with repeated loops that aren't excessively repetitive is fine if it's not completed.  I do apologize, but I've staked my reputation in games before only to lose that reputation because developers abused my goodwill. I'm no longer willing to do that for unfinished games without some serious commitments from the developers. As the cost to my reputation if that commitment isn't as it was stated, becomes a problem in my physical life.

Okay, I isuppose I should clear some things up.

When I say SiS is more of a hobby, I mean that from a financial position. Whilst I absolutely appreciate everyone who has supported me (for a game that is free nonetheless), I'm not making enough to quit my job or do this full time. That's not to say I'm not dedicated to SiS, just that realistically I can't put the majority of my time into it.

I do plan on finishing Stuck in Sutton. My original plan was to do so by the end of the year with one update per month but considering this update is taking me over one month, that goal is probably going to shift. If I had to give an estimate, I'd say that SiS would be done halfway through 2024.  Of course, it is worth noting this is my first game so I'm still figuring a lot of things out, which is why I'm avoiding exact dates at this stage.

No worries. Thank you for the reply. I'm happy to support the games development and where ever it may lead. Thank you for conveying your thoughts on this I appreciate it.
